Five (5) Steps To Work From Home Internet Business Success – Part 1: Momentum

by Sampson on December 16, 2009

In previous posts, I have talked extensively about The Slight Edge philosophy: simple, easy to do, consistent steps, compounded over time, that literally guarantees you success in your Work From Home Internet Business Opportunity, or in any pursuit in life for that matter.

There are five (5) attributes or faces of this winning philosophy that you can control to help you achieve your dreams.

These are:

  • The Power of Momentum,
  • The Power of Completion,
  • The Power of Habit,
  • The Power of Reflection,
  • The Power of Celebration

In this article we are going to talk about:

Step #1:  Harnessing The Power of Momentum

You know the answer to this question: who won the race – the tortoise or hare? Everybody does! The real point of the tortoise and the hare story is that: Steady wins the race! This is my personal opinion, because there is nothing inherently good about slowness. It is just as possible to move too slowly as it is to move too quickly. So steady wins the race, not slow.

Momentum says that a body at rest tends to stay at rest – a body in motion tends to remain in motion. That’s why your day-to-day activity in building your work from home business is so critical. Why? Because once you are in motion – producing content, mastering your marketing, it’s easy to keep on keeping on. The moment you stop, it’s more difficult to get back moving again.

You see it’s far more effective to take one work from home business marketing action step every day of the week, than to take seven or even ten steps all at once, and then take the rest of the week off. People who build successful Work From Home Businesses always go with the first option; those who with the second option don’t, and quit – with frustration and disappointment. After six days off, they have get themselves back into action, which requires a lot more energy and inspiration to do. On the other hand it takes far far less energy to keep yourself up with your marketing once you have started.

Here’s another benefit of harnessing the power of momentum when building your Internet Home Business – why once a day is better than seven times once a week: the daily rhythm of the routine begins to change you, as it becomes part of who you are, moving you steadily into Internet marketing mastery.

Mary Kay Ash actually puts it better with this:

Give yourself something to work toward – constantly

So be in the flow and be steady with your actions and see yourself get over the finish line with your lifestyle dreams and creating wealth.

I’m looking for serious and smart entrepreneurs to coach to create successful home businesses. If you are interested fill the form below to get in touch.

I wish nothing but success.
