Your People Strategy
Here is a question: How do you get (your) people to do what you want? Don’t wish there was a way you could literally control your prospects’ decisions to do exactly what you want the moment they hit your landing page? If you know how to do it please let me know…
The answer is you can’t!
If you want it done, according to Michael Gerber in “The E-Myth Revisited,” you’re going to have to create an environment in which doing it becomes more important to your people than not doing it. And, where doing it well becomes a way of life for them.
This is because the way you handle your Internet Home Business Opportunity is a reflection of who you are. If you are sloppy at it, you’re sloppy inside. If you’re late at it, it’s because you’re late inside. If you’re bored by it, and not making any money, it’s because you’re bored inside, with yourself and not with the business.
To make this post worth your while, I’m going to assume that you have a team, a downline, members in your work home business. If you don’t have a team yet, imagine yourself having a good number of members in your personal network that you brought into the company.
Now we know that the performance of your network or team will invariably determine how much residual income you make at the end of the month. So it’s important to understand that managing your team well to get results is crucial if you’re to retire in style and never have to worry about money again! Even more importantly, the impact you make on the lives of your members is even a better motivating factor.
When someone starts on your team, take time to let them understand the idea behind the Internet business they just started. Because the idea behind the Internet home business is more important than the business itself. For example, with the Internet marketing company I’m involved with, everybody is given the opportunity to work towards being the best he can possibly be in the area of wealth, financial investment education, personal development and importantly, mastering marketing online.
Your Internet business should be like a martial arts practice hall, a dojo, a place you go to practice being the best you can you can be, financially, physically (health), and mentally.
You know why most Internet businesses fizzle out faster than you can blink? There are other reasons, but most of them all lead to this one: there is no structure.
People – your team members – do not simply want to work with the most exciting sponsor or upline, or Internet business, ever seen online. They want to work in a business where there is a clearly defined structure for building their dreams and acting out in the world. A structure through which they test themselves and can be tested to play their best game, ever!
The unfortunate thing is that most Internet businesses do not have this structure where you can express your true self as an Internet entreprenuer. A structure from the Primary Aim to the Strategic Objective and continues through the Organizational Strategy of the creators of the program.
