May I ask a simple, yet profound question? What was/is your main reason why you decided to become an Internet entrepreneur and start an Internet business?
Whenever I’ve asked my prospective business partners this question, I one particular answer is very common. You probably gave that same answer to the question above. Money. It’s not totally wrong but the true answer is not money. It’s more than money.
There is a role your business is supposed to play in your life because your life and your business are two separate things. Essentially your business is supposed to serve your life, and not the other way round. But before you can accurately determine what that role is you must ask yourself these questions and answer them honestly. After all, it’s your life. Your Primary Aim in your home business is your answer to these questions.
Look at from another perspective.
If you ever had the chance to tell your story immediately after your life had run its course, how would you like the story to go? That’s your Primary Aim. What would like to be able to say about your life after it’s too late to do anything about it? That’s your Primary Aim.
Let’s assume you’re currently able to put it into a script. Once you’ve got the script, all you have do is to make it come true. To actively make your life into the life you wish it to be.
Simple? Yes.
Easy? No.
But absolutely essential if your Internet Home Business is to have any meaning beyond work; beyond just making a couple of thousand dollars a month; or perhaps even making multiple five or six figures monthly.
Because if your Internet business is going to become an integral part of that script, if your business is going to become a significant component of your Primary Aim, then you have to let your business know what that Aim is! But how can you possibly do that if you don’t know what that Aim is?

With no clear picture of how you wish your life to be, how could you possibly begin to live it? Your Primary Aim will give you what first step to take, measure your progress, where you were, how far you’ve gone and how much farther you have yet to go.
So before you start your Internet Home Business, or return to your computer tomorrow if you already have one, make sure you have correctly determined what your Primary Aim is.
Your Primary Aim will become the standard against which you can begin to measure your life’s progress. In the absence of such a standard your life will drift aimlessly, without purpose and meaning.
In that regard, your Primary Aim is the vision necessary to bring your business to life and your life to your business. It provides you with purpose. It provides you with energy. It provides you with the grist for your day-to-day mill.
