Five (5) Steps To Work From Home Internet Business Success – Part 4: Reflection

In our discussion on how to use the power of easy things to build successful Work From Home Internet Business opportunities, so far we’ve talked about:

This post is the fourth installment and focuses on:

  • Step #4: Harnessing The Power of Reflection

I once heard someone say that successful people understand that activity is not necessarily accomplishment. And I completely agree with him. People make the mistake by thinking they are being productive because they are busy. However, productivity and ‘busyness’ are not necessarily the same thing. It’s only when you do the right things that will create success in your Internet Business Opportunity or in anything else worth your while in life.

Usually when we talk about reflection, we visualize or remember ourselves standing in front of a mirror and checking that everything with our appearance is as it should be before we step out for the day. In a sense, we use the power of reflection in a mirror, to correct what is wrong with our clothes and outward appearance.

If we can use the power of (a mirror) reflection in our day to day life to enhance our outward appearance, why is that we rarely, if ever, use the power of reflection to help us achieve greater benefits in our Work From Home Internet Businesses? Use the power of reflection as a continuous learning and development tool to help change your philosophy.

Here is what I believe to be the best way to use the power of self-reflection to help you achieve your career goals, be it in the Internet marketing industry or in any area of life.

Instead writing down what you’re going to do during the day, reverse the process. At the end of the day, sit down and write what you did that moved you forward towards your financial goals. What actions did you take today that made you successful in your Work From Home Business?

Did you engage in personal development? Did you write that article? Did you spend at least an hour or 2 optimizing your Pay-Per-Click campaigns? Whom did you associate with and listen to? Did they empower you with positivity and inspiration? Did you eat healthy food and get some good exercise?

At the end of the week, look back over your lists and take an inventory. It will show you two things that will either move you towards your goals, or away from them:

  1. It will tell you a lot about the truth of your everyday life,
  2. The mere act of recording this daily reflection will have already started changing what you do!

Ask yourself these specific questions:

“In each area of my life and my business, what are the critical, simple little things that are easy to do, and easy not to do? Did I do them? Did I move forward with my business? Did I ride on the road to ‘success-ville’?”[1]

When what you didn’t improve one day is clear to you and you’re aware of it, the next morning you will be hunting for self-improvements to make up for the ‘loss’.

Harnessing the power of reflection has been ‘industrialized’ in recent years as the hottest new profession and has become popularly known as the ‘Personal Coaching’. The coach essentially holds the mirror to your face, day in and day out and shows your performance.

If you have an entrepreneurial mindset and need help creating your own Internet business from home, with a system that is ready to ‘go’, I want you to fill the form to the right of the page or below to get in touch.

I wish you nothing but success.
