Become Genuinely Interested In Other People And You’ll Be Welcome Always

by Sampson on October 2, 2009

It is the individual who is not genuinely interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficult in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such individuals that all human failures spring - Dale Carnegie

Imagine if you had a magic wand that you could just fling at people you desired attention from and have them instantly take a liking to you. How often would you use it?

Do you want people to like you? Do you want to develop real, lasting friendships in your internet marketing and home based business? Or in life in general?

Then read on…

In our internet marketing training series so far, we have been discussing timeless concepts from Dale Carnegie’s timeless classic “How To Win Friends And Influence People”. Today we’ll look at how becoming genuinely interested in other people can help us immensely in building a legitimate home based business and create wealth online.

Dale Carnegie said “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.” [a]

May I ask you a question? What’s your motivation for carrying out your daily routines each and every day? What motivates athletes to run a 100 meter distance in under 10 seconds? What motivates everyone to play their game to the highest level? It all boils down to this:  As humans we all want to be desired and respected. We want to know we are important.

However, besides this deep desire in each of us, we are faced with our own objectives and challenges. This inevitably, naturally, ‘forces’ us to focus on ourselves and how to overcome these challenges.

Now note this statement: That person who is able to ‘push’ their needs to the background and focus on the needs of others will become a treasure to those he interacts with. Look at people like medical professionals and volunteers. These are highly regarded by the general public.

Why?

When you reach out with a genuine and focused interest in the other person, (without faking it so you can get your needs met), you make an impact in their lives, that stays with them for the rest of their lives.

Take a genuine interest in the people around you; your kids, spouse, work colleagues and people who need your help and see how it will transform your life in turn.

If this can work for you in the home and life in general, imagine what it can do for you in your home based business when you take a genuine interest in that prospect who needs direction getting started; your team members if you focused on them making progress
