“Abilities wither under criticism; they blossom under encouragement.”
To be a more effective leader of people,
“Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement.” [1]
If your Internet marketing company provides good training so that you can become a master marketer, sometimes it can be overwhelming at first with all the training resources at your disposal. I know I did when I got started.
And this is important: it can also be a great source for distraction (i.e. lack of focus) and frustration.
We are so much ‘on fire’ we want to take everything on board and master everything all at once! I mean what are you waiting for! In the end we spread ourselves too thin and don’t really achieve much.
This is where your leadership becomes very crucial to your (new) team members – their laying of a solid foundation for their marketing and eventually for the business.
Out of the many marketing options that may be available, help them choose at most three marketing strategies they are most comfortable with at least when they are getting started – video, article, blogging, press releases, etc. And, then help them master them.
This is where this technique become invaluable…
“Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement.”
For instance let’s say video marketing is ‘their thing.’
You can praise them for example the way they use keywords with their video titles, the good things they say in their videos, how their great personality comes through in the video, etc. Then you can suggest areas where they can improve.
The key here is to try to be as specific with your praise as possible. Your specificity will let them know that the praise is sincere and not just mere flattery.
Then in the next video set, if you see any little improvement, praise that as well. And you will see how this will spur them on to greater improvements and eventual success.
This technique has worked wonders for my team members and me as their leader as I inspire them with the realization of their latent possibilities.
So go out there and inspire your team to greater heights.
But hold on! What about you? If you don’t have anyone to inspire yet, how do you apply this principle?
Simple! Apply it to your self. Celebrate the first time you were able to upload a video to YouTube, the first time you generated a lead, made your first sale. Celebrate your successes however small they may be. Then be spurred on to do greater things for your own home based online business and create the lifestyle you dream of.
I however do invite you into my camp where your efforts are praised and you are urged on to play your biggest game and great your own online success story and be part of an elite wealth group not known to many.
