So far we’ve been discussing a very simple yet powerful philosophy: the philosophy of The Slight Edge - the compounded effect of easy, simple steps that literally guarantees that you’ll achieve anything worth your while that you set your hands to. By the way The Slight Edge is a powerful book by Jeff Olson and I recommend you get a personal copy from Amazon.
Today we will look at the five most important areas of our lives and how this philosophy can help us achieve our optimum in each area:
- Health,
- Personal Development,
- Relationships,
- Finances and
- Life itself.
When you take each of these areas of your life, answer these questions as vivid and honest as you possibly can.
- Question 1 – What are your goals (specific, vivid and with a timeline)
- Question 2 – What price do you have to pay to achieve those goals in that area of your life?
- Question 3 – When do you plan to start taking simple easy steps to achieving those goals?
- Question 4 – What is one simple daily discipline that you will do to ensure that you reach those goals?
Remember you don’t have to get it perfect the first time; just get started and keep the momentum going by being immersed in the daily process. So here we go, shall we?
- Your Health
Everyone knows that without your health, you have nothing. And yet health is one of the most ignored areas in most people’s life. When you are good physical shape you realize that you need less sleep, think more clearly, feel better about everything and get more accomplished.
Initially physical exercise is not fun. However, those you who are in top shape know it’s great to be in top shape. And once you get the hang of it, you never want to go back.
So aim for 30 minutes a day; it’s better than doing 2-3 hrs of exercise once a week. A brisk walk, jogging or running is all that’s required. Eat healthily and you won’t need you weight loss program again. And it does not matter where you are right now. The good news is that you can start today. So take some time to answer the four questions above on your health and get started today.
- Personal Development
Your income (in your Work From Home Internet Business) will never long exceed your own level of personal development. Here is question for you: A million dollars in the bank or a million-dollar mindset – which would you choose? My answer? I would rather be worth it than have it! With that mindset, it will not be long before I’ll have a million dollars in the bank. With the million dollars in the bank and without the mindset, it will not be long before I’m penniless. At the end of the day, it’s not fate that determines who succeeds, it’s YOU!
Here’s my tip for you: Read 10 pages of a powerful personal development book everyday.
So again take some time to answer the four questions above concerning your own personal development.
- Relationships
No matter how successful you become in Creating Wealth with your Work From Home Internet Business, it means little if there is no one to share it with. It’s ultimately other people who will give meaning to your success.
In your relationship with your spouse and children (if you have kids), you’ve no doubt heard the expression: “It’s the little things that count.” The birthdays remembered, the little gifts, the 5 minutes spared to listen the other person’s news; they go farther than they might appear to you. But keep making those decisions. Take the time to build those relationships with the right people and enjoy richer, lasting friendships who will add meaning to your massive amount of success you create.
So again take some time to answer the four questions above concerning your relationships.
- Finances
Are you putting some of your monthly earnings in a savings account or you’re living beyond your means and hoping for a lucky break one day? It will shock you that most people do not have savings account to begin with. It does not matter where you are now. Remember you can start today and all that’s required is taking that easy simple, baby, steps – and keep taking them. The best resource I can recommend is The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas Stanley and William Danko.
So again take some time to answer the four questions above concerning your own personal finances
- Your Life
This the the biggest area of all because it includes all the others. There two life paths: you are either going down and ultimately end up with regret, OR you’re going up and will end with fulfillment. It’s your life. What do you want it to mean when it has run it’s course? After all what we are looking for here is simple little things that are easy to do, as they are easy not to do.
So again take some time to answer the four questions above concerning your own life and how you want to be remembered.

I’ve read many books and such, taken leadership courses and such and find that, there comes a time when one must merely ACT. Yes. Act.
So then, what, monami, is this business you speak of?
