I went to a church meeting last week. There was this toddler who was crying so much that the one leading the meeting had to stop and ask, “What does she want”? It turns out she wanted a Mars Bar the mum was trying to keep from her. The mother budged and gave her the Mars Bar. And guess what she NEVER cried again! You see the girl never gave a rip about what the adults wanted which was obviously for her to keep quite so that the meeting could proceed. But what SHE wanted! And I learned from the whole episode.
In our attempt to succeed in our legitimate home based business, we tend to focus too much on what WE want instead of what our prospects want. And trust me this DOES NOT work! We give all the reason’s under the sun why they must join our business. But your prospect could not care less!
Everything you have done since you were little was because of an advantage you saw that you could enjoy or help you get what you wanted. Isn’t that true? If you disagree leave me a comment on this post.
The secret to being successful in your home based business is to give your prospects enough reasons to arouse in them an eager desire or want to proceed to take the next action. When they are able to convince themselves that it is them taking the action but not you trying to ‘sell’ them then you have won.
